Solar System

The Solar System consists of the Sun, a star at its center, and all the celestial bodies gravitationally bound to it. These components include the eight major planets—Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune—as well as numerous dwarf planets, moons, asteroids, and comets. The system is organized into several distinct regions, including the inner terrestrial planets, the outer gas giants, and the more distant Kuiper Belt and Oort Cloud. The structure and dynamics of the Solar System are governed by gravity and the physics of orbital mechanics, providing a vast laboratory for studying stellar evolution, planetary formation, and the distribution of matter and energy in space.
