Helium

Helium is a colorless, odorless, noble gas element distinguished by its chemical inertness under standard conditions, meaning it does not readily react with other substances. As the second lightest element by atomic mass, it possesses a stable electron configuration that accounts for its low reactivity and tendency to form stable compounds only under extreme conditions. Due to its physical properties, helium is widely utilized in various technological applications, including serving as a lifting gas for airships, and for its use as a cryogenic coolant in specialized scientific equipment, such as superconducting magnets within particle accelerators.
