Condensation

Condensation is a physical process involving the phase transition of a substance from a gas (vapor) state to a liquid state. This transformation occurs when the temperature of the gaseous substance is lowered to a point where the intermolecular forces are sufficiently strong to hold the molecules closer together. The critical condition for condensation is reaching the dew point, which is the temperature at which the air or gas becomes saturated, causing excess water vapor or other volatile components to change state. This process is fundamental in physical chemistry and meteorology, driving phenomena such as cloud formation, the formation of dew on surfaces, and the operation of cooling cycles in various technological systems.
