Broadcasting

Broadcasting is the transmission of information—such as audio or video signals—through the electromagnetic spectrum to a distant receiver. This process involves modulating a high-frequency carrier wave, thereby encoding the desired information onto the wave's amplitude, frequency, or phase. Signals are generated by transmitters, which project these modulated waves through the air or via fiber optic lines, allowing them to cover vast geographical areas. Receiving systems are designed to capture these electromagnetic waves and then demodulate the signals, extracting the original information content for utilization. Modern broadcasting technologies encompass a wide range of physical principles, including amplitude modulation (AM), frequency modulation (FM), and digital data streaming methods.
