Boson

A boson is a type of elementary particle characterized by having integer spin. These particles are crucial in quantum field theory as they are responsible for mediating the fundamental forces that govern physical interactions. For example, photons mediate the electromagnetic force, while gluons transmit the strong nuclear force that binds quarks together. Unlike fermions, which follow the Pauli exclusion principle, bosons can occupy the same quantum state simultaneously. The study of bosonic exchange particles is central to understanding how different components of matter interact to maintain the structure and stability of the universe at the subatomic level.
